Description
Tucked away in the heart of the Paphos Forest, the Moutti tou Stavrou nature trail begins at the secluded Selladi tou Stavrou locality. Far removed from the city’s noise, this remote escape offers hikers a serene experience defined by crisp mountain air and untouched natural beauty. It is a tranquil haven for adventurous souls looking to trade civilization for the magnificent, panoramic views of the dense forest wilderness.

Winding through the sideline of the mountains, the path leads you deep into the forest toward the Stavros peak (Moutti tou Stavrou). You’ll walk beneath a canopy of towering pine trees, with occasional glimpses of rare cedar trees scattered along the route. Several vantage points offer breathtaking perspectives of the rolling mountain range and the lush, dense forest, while clear days reveal the distant, sparkling waters of Morphou Bay.

Beyond the trail, the surrounding area is packed with unique sights. Just a kilometer away lies Stavros tis Psokas, where you can visit an enclosed sanctuary to see the rare Cypriot Mouflon up close. In the opposite direction, don’t miss the striking landmark known as Kremmos tis Pellis (Cliff of the Crazy Woman).
