The journey is particularly magical during or after a rainfall, when the stream flows with full strength and the vegetation turns a vibrant, lush green, transforming the scenery into something truly wonderful. Logistically, the first half of the trek is somewhat exposed to the sun, while the second leg (after the bridge crossing) is predominantly sheltered under refreshing shade.

For people wanting to expand their hiking experience and increase the distance and difficulty, they can combine it with Machairas to Lazanias adding approximately 2.65 km. For an even more ambitious hikers, you can push further from Lazanias to Fikardou by adding another ~ 2.6 km to your itinerary!
